Place for guests to ask questions about WWII reenacting, or about joining the unit. Also for quests to check in

I still am an 82nd Paratrooper. I also belong to the LHA. That is where I met the Levine brothers.

Doesn't that sound like a cough syrup?

I'm very well versed in US uniforms and also have an early war impression as well as most of the different US uniforms used in WWII. For me collecting the uniforms and equipment is just as much a hobby as reenacting is. It allows me to phsyically 'play' with my collection.

The only thing I don't like is looking in my closet. With all those different boots and shoes it's starting to look like Imelda Marcos on steriods has moved in!

Okay, I've been shopping around and just about bought some trousers and roughout boots when I realized:

I don't have a vehicle... how am I supposed to get to these events?

Is there anyone local (Berkeley-area) who would be willing to give rides? Naturally gas money will be contributed.

Another thing, my workplace (CostCo Wholesale) requires I let them know 2 weeks in advance before I take vacation.

How long in advance are events announced?

Thanks!

Events are normally announced way in advance, sometimes months. Check the CHG website:

http://www.chgww2.com/upbattle.htm

Once you become a member the CHG will mail the same information to you.

Welcome, Jason.

I'm sure you will have fun with our group of lamb-basters, scoundrels, and bam-boozlers.

I would also imagine that "Berzerkley" would offer its own challenges to re-enacting, especially Marine impressions, which, by the way, we also portray proudly a couple of times per year ( i.e. 4th Marines ).

We can fill you in on the details and provide loaner gear for your equipment until you get started with your own.
