I guess I was always interested in reenacting because of the histroy. It's a good tool for teaching the younger people about what the world went through to keep our freedom. Granted I was a young boy during WWII, but I do remember the war years and what we went through here at home.

I'm a little confused. On part of your site I see USA Army, and another slide show of Marines.

I met some of the reenacters (Marines) at the local gun show in Orange Co..
When do you meet and were? Do I bring my 782 gear with me??

Thank you

Welcome George, I was born in Melrose, Mass - 1954

Q: I'm a little confused. On part of your site I see USA Army, and another slide show of Marines.

A: Most of the reenactment are ETO, accordingly are against the Germans. There is presently only one PTO battle. So in order to honor the Marines, we change for this one event to our secondary impression, and all go as "4th Marines" in order to honor their efforts and those others who served in the PTO. At all the ETO battles we go as the 34thID "Red Bulls", with two squads, one is the 133rd Regiment, and the other is the 100th Battalion of the 442ndRCT.

For what happens at a reenactment go to our webpage on the very topic
http://www.442ndrct.com/reenactment

Also go to our webpage for photos and movies of our past events

As far as what gear, there is sort of a standard package of items - standard clothing and gear.

As far as any other questions, post them here. 8)

That'd be the 24th Marines of the 4th MARDIV :D

If you say 4th Marines that would refer to the China Marine Regiment that was disbanded in the PI after Corregidor. They were reinstated in 1944 when they combined the Marine Raiders together and assigned to the 6th MARDIV :D The former would make for some very short reenacting.

But regardless welcome to our unit forums. Hopefully we can welcome you to the hobby as well!
