Attention Recruits

The "Red Bulls" are a full function unit. We have enough rifles to support seven guys who need a rifle. We also field two 30 Cal Machine teams, which can use infantrymen with or without a rifle. You can also be a medic, combat photographer, or war correspondant. We also have a BAR, Bazooka, and a 50 Cal machine mounted on one of our Jeeps. Each one of these has potential for a new recruit.

So don't let the lack of a weapon or your inablity to get a M1 Garand quickly stop you from joing the 442nd today

Joining the 442nd is a informal process, just post or e-mail either Tim Kano (Kanowarrior) or Mike Duggan (Mayo), this will make you a recruit. Nothing to sign, nothing to pay, no paperwork. After you attend your first unit event, you are then a "red bull" member.

Let us know by posting here or e-mailing Tim or Mayo what you have and what you need. Let us know if you need help with loaner gear.

Just kidding, they just have to have her back at my place by 2000 and no funny stuff!

Not only do we have weapons but a lot of us have extra uniform items and gear and are willing to loan them to new recruits to allow them to reenact but pickup their items at a better pace for their budget, but its not a long-term loan, just maybe a season of reenacting if that.

Don't let money scare you from the hobby. We can't lie an tell you its cheap, but we can ease you into the hobby and allow you to get what you need. But for sure boots are a personal must, not only is it kinda unhygienic but only boots that you buy and break in to *your* feet will be the most comfy for you.

I would add to what Rich said, and say that if you're even a little curious and would love to go to an event, but don't know if your ready to buy a lot of stuff just to see if this something you want to do. Then let us know, we're more than ready and able to equip you and friend to come out an experience a battle! We have the gear, the weapons, and the transportation to get you into a real World War II Reenactment.
