Welcome gents! I'm Richard, probably the most southern member, residing at Uncle Sam's will in Miramar just a bit north of San Diego.

Glad to have you here, don't be afraid to look around, get involved in discussions, and let us know what your goals are in re-enacting.

I work w/ Mex Bob from USC. I got most of my uniform coming in the mail just need field gear and a garand.

Interesting info: In paragraph 17 starting with "In the Korean War..." midway through the paragraph i was surprised to see a korean in the 442nd. If one korean can be in the 442nd, its possible more non-japanese asians to be in it. I dont think the army can tell whose chinese or japanese or for that matter a korean. Im having a hard time finding a chinese in the 442nd/100th...i bet there's one somewhere...

Im looking at a few garands on gunbroker, links are in the weapons page/thread under the first post.

There were some non-japanese asians in the 442nd. It's been documented. Not a lot but some so it isn't a far fetched idea.

As far as in our reenactment unit goes, all Asians and Non-Asians who are nice folks are allowed to join either 100 Btn or 133rd Rgt. 8)
