Don't forget the trouser suspenders!

Anyways btw mainly this is meant for Fernie. Those Mil-Tec Musette bags would be perfect for dirtying up and hanging on the jeep. I've seen their stuff good for re-enacting on the cheap, but I would tear it up within a couple uses the way I crawl around and stuff. I'll find an original probably. But thanks to Tim I'm getting set for Airborne. If I can't make it... and Dave can, he can borrow all the Airborne stuff he needs.

There's a production difference?

I figured M1Cs were production swivels with the airborne things.

M1C's had the large D fixed bales. Later they went to the smaller fixed bales found on infantry helmets and also swivel bales. So pretty much any of them are period correct. The D bales suck anyway, they will break very easily which is why they were replaced so quickly.

Ok, M2 helmets are the fixed bale helmets (I have a complete original) and M1C's are the swivel bales.

See! That's what I get for sounding off without sticking my face in a reference book first. Of course If would stop lending out all my reference books I would have something to stick my face in too. [smilie=a_chuckle.gif]

We painted our helmets for 506th 2nd Batallion because they invited us to hang out with them. 8)
