Ok... I'm having them reproduced.

Problem is I could use a sample I can send to the factory to get a really good copy. Chances are I will get it back no problem but there is a chance it won't come back or if it does it may be damaged. I gave them a sample of my 442nd DI (a repro) and it came out beautifully.

So Mayo loaned me one but it's real and really, really don't want to let anybody else touch it. I plan on returning it now and could use one in any condition that I can send to the factory.

I anyone willing to do that? I would compensate with a full set of repro ones when they are done.

Just use mine Tim. It's ok.

The cost is $25 for a set of (3) 133rd DI's
On ebay if you're lucky to find an orginal they go for $13 - $45 a piece. Also unfortunately the original DI's you get on ebay have two problems, [1] the metal has lost it's shine and [2] a lot of times the colored paint has chipped off.

I have possession of these DI's and am selling them for $25 a set of three (exact change please or a check made out to "Tim Kano"). You are basically, as Dave said, getting 3 reproduction ones for the price of one beat up original one.
