Postby M14MSgt on Fri Feb 01, 2008 10:17 pm

Just received my new Tanker jacket today from ATF and I love it! Fits perfectly and I will be sporting it later this month.

Mine is just too big. Bad news is: Omar the Tent-Maker sizes for Big Bob. Good news is: I can tailor it down to a perfect fit so I don't look like a 4-F... :)

P.S.

Randy: Don't forget the paint and cork to the next event. I've got a new guy's helmet plus Sgt. Fernie's to do. Also, I've got your Marine shovel carrier for you that I keep forgetting. Oh, and Mark VII gas mask bags: I got two, one for each of us, so we can re-enforce the stitching (originals) and put a 100 round cloth belt in one and test it as a possible solution to shooting and moving in a more efficient/expedient manner when we find ourselves all alone after a squad advance. Anyway, tell me what you think. it might be a good option if we can't carry all of our equipment at once. :!:

Bob...what can I say? You are da man!!! Will bring cork & paint. I still need to do mine as well. Maybe we can do that in the barracks Friday, or did you mean Camp Roberts as the next event?

Randy:
Good to hear from you. Hope all is well with you and yours. I threw alot at you on that last one, sorry-just excited to get a few things finished. I think it would be great to do some painting in AZ, but I don't know about the layout there as far as spraying paint around. Generally, from past experience as a military brat, I would have to say that what they don't know won't hurt'em. In that case, we should contact Tim about painting our Red Bull emblems as well. I will make arrangements to take Pvt. Lee's helmet to be painted on Friday.

I could bring my stuff to paint Red Bulls. Only takes about 20 minutes per helmet, but most of that time is waiting for the paint to dry.

Still getting 20 minutes alone is a typically a feat at these events! Since we are visiting and not in CHG territory it may be much easier though.
