All right. I was asked by Mike to make a post about this battle. We are looking at possibly sponsoring this battle and choosing the "Rescue of the Lost Battalion" at the Vosges Mountains in France. (This site does a good job explaining the background and the battle itself: http://www.homeofheroes.com/moh/nisei/index6_vosges.html).

This could make for an awesome departure in scenarios and could be interesting if we can garner interest from the other units and get a sizeable number to attend.

But our unit leaders want to know if there are volunteers who can head a committee (2-3 of our membership) to run the details of the battle like setting up/scouting the location at Tahquitz, securing cabins and/or camping space. Logistics of getting the units around, the scenario, prepping the battle area, doing the line-up and briefs, doing up the battle flyer information etc.

Any takers?
