442ndRCT Soldier's Forum

442nd: We have an invitation to set up a display and recruiting table at the West Coast Militaria show at the Pomona Fairgrounds 2-3 MAY 08.

This table will be split between the 442/34 and IJA. The table will be outside, right by the entrance to the show.

Larry Stewart will be there; contact him before the show if you have anything you want him to bring for you.

This is the same weekend as the CHG battle; this display event is offered as an alternative to a battle where the US and Japanese were not participants.

I will coordinate for Tim, both 442/34 and IJA elements, with the show promoter for our guest list and accommodations.

If you don't go to the early war battle this is a good show to make. It's at the Pomona Fairgrounds in Pomona off the 10 freeway. If your interested contact Russell and he should be able to give you directions.

Also if your in uniform I believe you can get in for free if your part of the display with Russell. Another reason to contact him. This is a good show with alot of militaria. Since it's in the LA area live weapons are not a good idea. Non guns or Airsoft weapons would be a better choice. Last year I did bring live weapons to display and chained them to the table. I did not have any problems but you might not want to risk it. They are tough on weapons in LA.
