Great story Dave. This is a VERY emotional issue with Japanese Americans and we faced our own problems with wearing the patch in our unit. As far as we know it wasn't done in combat during WWII but it is such an emotional subject we decided it best to do so anyway.

Anyway I saw 442 patches at Orgun-e in 2007.
