I won't be able to go because I'll be shipping off to basic in a couple of weeks hopefully.

That would be but I heard thats its only like 2 vehicles for the entire CHG or something like that.

We(CHG) only can bring two vehicles, which is the Stuart Tank and the Halftrack. As far a cadance, Ron Lane does a good job. But to Mayo's point when someone else does it or worse two guys do it, it doesn't work. Also as Rich mentioned at the last PTO battle, who ever it is, they must have a strong, deliberate voice, which is concrete and aubible.

Ah multiple platoons! Yup the hardest. The easiest way to do it, especially since we aren't individually marching but as a group is to use marching music. Anything from Sousa, to Civil War, to classic Fife and Drum works just as long as its 120 beats a minute. Then you can read. Maybe we'll have a marching band nearby. Now if they only played marches, we'd be fine!

Listen to anything Sousa you can almost imagine as soon as you step off that first bass drum hit at the beginning of the song is your left. After that its just 2 steps a second. But the drum beats either on your left... or constantly through both feet.

IIRC a proper command voice has good: Tone, Volume, Inflection, and Cadence.

An excellent article presented from an outside POV:http://www.slate.com/id/2112484/

I was invited to bring my jeep by Jerry Berry. I talked to him again yesterday about it. Thing is if I do I won't be driving it with the CHG, but with the MVCC so won't be with you guys. Doesn't seem right somehow, but I do owe Jerry.

Alot of what we have been able to accomplish has come from support from people like Jerry and I pulled alot of favors from people.

I wonder how close the CHG and the MVCC groups are in the parade line-up?

So, can we ride in the jeep with you and the MV club? or do we have to march the parade route with the CHG guys.

How many can we get in Tim's Jeep?

And while we're on the subject who's going this year?

The jeep is suppose to arrive either today or tomorrow if all goes well. It's in transit right now. I have to see if I can get it squared away before that. If it's as good running as I was told and nothing more has to be done to it then it ought to be fine for the parade. Four can fit in it comfortably. If I come as a Leuitenant then I will probably need somebody like a Sargeant to drive. Two more can fit but I don't know what Jerry has in store for riders as he mentioned that is why they want the vehicles. He might have riders already lined up. I'll have to check. Maybe he's planning on people like parade officials riding in them or something. Never thought to ask although he did mention 'riders'.

Lol, Tim. With my back issue, the pain goes into my left hip. Working the clutch aggrivates that hip. By the time the parade was over, I would want to blow my own brains out. Thank you very much for the offer. I really would like to do it, but it would kill my lower back sir. :(

Well looks like I'm good to go. We're getting a long weekend.

So 34th, full marching kit?

And, Fernie, drop me a PM with your house's addy so I can googlemap my way there... Or I'll have the day before off, if Tim wants to put up with me for a night... But I'll need your addy too...
