It's possible for me. So far I have that clear. I'm not sure when it is but there is a parade in Little Tokyo sometime in the summer and I march with the 442nd vets. Gotta see when that falls but I doubt it will be on the 4th of July.

At the Board Meeting (March 30th) Scott Wolcott told the group he was putting in the application for the CHG's spot in the parade. I talked to Ron Lane after the meeting, and he shared that Walter Ehlers would be a possible quest in the halftrack again. There was talk that last year was his last event, but this was only talk. Either way the event is a go!

Talking with Don Lane, Walter Elther is coming out again, and Stan Wolcott is going to dress up as George S. Patton

The parade starting time will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 4. We suggest that all participants arrive not later than 8:00 a.m. at the Seacliff Shopping Center just north of the intersection of Yorktown Avenue at Goldenwest. Since Yorktown is closed, we’ll meet just north of our traditional meeting place at the parking lot containing the McDonald’s and Orchard Supply Hardware. Turn into the parking lot from Goldenwest near the signal at the intersection at the next street north of Yorktown (unnamed street). We will then “convoy” to the parade mobilizing area in period vehicles which will participate (the half track, but not a good idea to ride on the hull of the tank). We are limited to these two vehicles. If you miss the convoy, go to the check-in area at Orange and 7th, where you will be directed to CHG’s position.

Hmmm so who's going?

Too bad I'm a Pfc... I'd call out some motivated and loud cadence for those of us stuck marching :D

It would be cool to ride in Tim's Jeep for this thing instead of suffering the confusion of trying to march in formation with the crowd noise and trying to hear the cadence over it.
