I talked to Fernie a couple of days ago. I'll give you some general updates on Jeep #2. It been cleaned up with some of the body work done. Fernie is almost done painting it. We washed out the interior. And is ready for the new seats. See won't look show-room finished, but she certaintly will look like she's been on the battlefield.

The restoration process is slow and maticulous, but progress is being made and I am confident she will be ready for the November regionals at Camp Roberts. We will be very dangerous at what we do best and that is to kick some kraut booty.
Thanks to Dave for posting these pics and all the cool stuff on our forums he has created. 8)

Scott, the welder will be coming by next weekend for some cosmetic welding and some grinding. She may be ready for the RPS at Roberts. 8)

Awesome! Don't we have to re-wire Tim's jeep and change out the steering column too or something like that? :D When are we going to do that? We need to clean rifles the weened after the Holcomb Valley battle.
When all else fails, Attack!

Do the rifle cleaning and I can handle the jeep work as long as someone wants to clean my M1. I am planning on swapping out the steering column and windshield on the same day.
Can we have Bledsoe do the unit markings, serial #'s and stars that same day or even sunday would work for me?

No go. We're short on materials for doing the jobs we *need* to do let alone other work items. Sorry Fernie... when we get more in I'll work them but its impossible now, we're bumming rolls of tape and paper from other units.

Cool stuff happening at the motor pool this weekend. So far we have changed out the steering column on Jean and swapped out the windsheild. Added some weather stripping on the windsheild and Scott the welder did some work on Lillian Mae. Still not finished with the body work, may take one more day of solid work to have Lillian Mae complete and ready for the regionals at Camp Roberts in November.
As for the wiring on both jeeps, Denny Box has covered tons of work and is almost finished with both jeeps. He most likely will need one more day of solid work to get them in proper working order. He has removed alot of wiring that was not needed and has simplified them back to the way they were intended on working. I am very pleased with Scott and Denny on their work ethics and their ability to get the job done. Will post more info shortly, that is all for now.

Pictures of Lillian Mae after her work over the weekend. The last two shots are pictures of the work the welder did to fix the two damaged corners.
