Thanks for the update. We too order in bags of 100 rounds; but that was when we had someone selling blanks at our events.

EDIT
Here is Robb's shipping
100-350 ROUNDS - $13.00
351-650 ROUNDS- $21.00
651 - 1,050 ROUNDS - $32.00
1,051 - 1,500 - $38.00
1,501- 2,200 - $42

Depending on how many bags, the shipping runs on average $4 per 100 round.

Garand ammo is $28.00 per 100 - so your landed cost is $32.00 (.174 blank spacer)
Carbine ammo is $35.00 per 100 - so your landed cost is $39.00 (.156 blank spacer)

Here is the weblink for Garand ammo

I say we all chip in for a 2,000 (min. I believe) rnd order of .30-06 and split it accordingly. But I'm all about saving by ordering in bulk. Just an idea really. We'd be set for a few events.

bulk order works as it saves money for shipping...

The way the frieght works you don't really save much until you buy 1,500 rounds and then only a few more dollars. For example if (7) guys go together and buy (3) bags each, they each save $9.99 or $3.33 a bag, versus the guy who justs order (3) bags himself directly. But if (3) guys go together and buy (3) bags each, they only save $2.32 or $1.16 a bag.

And the other reason (7) guys do better than (3) guys is because on purchases of 2,100 rds or more, the price drops $1.00 per bag.

Look at the chart below to figure what your cost is

Well I assume that would explain:

$270/1,000 - on orders of 2,000 rounds & over.

Thats 592 approx for 2,000 rounds. I guess its how many ways you can split it...

What ever the case it won't happen by talking about it, and with the September Battle coming up in seven weeks, if you don't put something together soon you'll run out of time. You've got to [1] get six to seven guys all wanting three bags or more and [2] someone to front money and haul that ammo to the battle and make the money exchange.

As me I have enough ammo for the September Battle, and was planning on loading up at the October Battle, for the rest of the year. After that I was going to go to Atlanic Blanks direct. But if someone else starts collecting guys to do the "group buy" thing I'll go in if you need a extra body.

I would suggest that we do so, before some deadline date, and then cut if off and place your order.

Hey Robb,

I know you say .156'', but what is your recommended range for .30 carbine blanks?

Spiggy, our round is not as hot as Swansons round. .156 is the size that 90% of the guys around here use. Being in California where it is warmer, you may be able to go up to a .162. Few guys have ever had to drop the BFA size to .140.

I hear that many guys use a .187 with Swanson and that will be too large with our rounds.

Always remember that the hotter it gets the large BFA you will need. While some weapons may not require a change in the orifice, here in Ohio where we can get 0 degrees to 95 degrees, you can change the BFA 2 sizes from winter to summer to get the weapon to cycle properly.

Hope this helps.

Totally didn't even consider the weather as a factor when it comes to BFAs. Thats interesting. Thanks Robb!

Most people really don't know that. Where you have more consistent weather it really isn't a problem. In the Mid-West and higher elevations temperature swings can cause big problems with weapon malfunctions.

General rule: The hotter the temperature, the larger BFA orifice you will need. The colder the temperature, the smaller BFA orifice you will need.

This tends to work in 40 degree increments as U.S. Army studies have shown that even with live ammunition there will be a 1 inch bullet drop at 100m (all things being equal) with every 40 degrees of temperature drop.

From here in Ohio all we ever see about California are warm sunny days. Should you get a freak snow storm, better bring a smaller BFA to keep the weapon functioning well.

Thanks Robb!

I'll be sure to make a few extra adapters to test them out

Will the middle-sized restrictor that Pops sells work with Atlantic Wall Blanks?

Sorry I haven't been back guys. A really big order has kept me tied up.

I do not know what side the POP's adapters are but in general, a .174 - .187 will work. He would pretty much have to include those two sizes I would think.
