442nd Unit History

Postby middlestone on Wed Dec 12, 2007 4:38 pm

A 'must have' for the 442nd members is their unit history "Americans, Story of the 442nd, by Orville Shirey. Written in 1946, it was the definitive book for the 442nd, containing their roster, casualties and awards. It has, since, been reprinted three times; once by the 100th/442nd Veterans Association. The readily available copy is a fuzzy copy of the original 1946 printing. It is available at the Japanese American National Museum or on-line.
