The G.I Collector's Guide gets updated and revised in it's "second edition", which will be out shortly.

After the release of volume One, many readers and collectors pointed out the several pieces they possessed and that were missing from the book. Although including each and every item issued to the American soldier is a near impossible goal, the author started making a list of what should included in a reprint. All chapters in volume One have been revised and augmented (among others: uniforms, signal and medical equipment) and new topics added, such as personal equipment, Stateside training, and the life of POWs in German camps. More than 1,000 new artifacts with detailed captions are featured in this totally new work. Volume Two of the "G.I. Collector's Guide" thus constitutes with volume One a complete and unequaled source of documentation for collectors and enthusiasts alike, focused on the American ground forces of World War two.

Several of us have this on backorder, and it looks like it will be released in December. Please note, this is a "reprint" of the first edition, but with new items and sections added.

All chapters in volume One have been revised and augmented (among others: uniforms, signal and medical equipment) and new topics added, such as personal equipment, Stateside training, and the life of POWs in German camps.
