Grunt Gear

Postby M14MSgt on Thu Oct 04, 2007 1:05 pm

Just got a new copy of the book "Grunt Gear" from Amazon.com. Pretty nice reference work. Could have some more color pics in it of reenactor Marines in full combat gear like that Army book, but it's a good book none the less. Still need to get Harlan's book.

Well its from the same publisher that did the GI Collector's Guide

Very interesting has many things about WWII and post WWI uniforms I didn't know as well as little factoids... Also there is an interesting section on Marines labelling their gear according to their unit for quick ID... luckily a chart is included that details the 4th Marine Div. in 1944 so if you want to mark your late war gear you can :D

Too bad the publisher is in France, I'd like some good Wehrmacht Heer books.
