The Deadly Brotherhood

I am new to the forum and not sure how much I can add but I have just finished a book that you may enjoy. The Deadly Brotherhood by John C. McManus was a great read. McManus collected first hand accounts from vets including members of the 34th and relays their thoughts on everything from the food, the gear, the terrain, the cause, the enemy and so on. It may be worth checking out. I really enjoyed it.

Hey, thanks!

That sounds like a good read. Tough to find stuff from vets that tell you exactly what the everyday tedious stuff of life on the front lines was like.
