War Games: Inside the World of Twentieth-Century War Reenactors



This is a book I first read, even before attending my first event. Randy also recent picked up a copy and has started to read it as well. It very interesting read as it highlights all the negatives of reenactors, and well as the all positives of reenacting.

It looks at why people "really" reenact versus the "cover story" they like to tell the general public. Jenny spent seven years with and as a reenactor, gives very good insight as well as many stories and accounts of people, their habits and events.

Yes...we do fit the profile. I saw myself many times throughout this book. I contacted the author and told her what a great job she did.
